Tommy Fury speaks out on cheating rumours in first interview since Molly-Mae Hague split

The boxer has issued some fighting words over his relationship

Tommy Fury has spoken out for the first time after his bombshell split from fiancée Molly Mae Hague, and has addressed the claims that he cheated on her.

Back in 2019, Molly Mae and Tommy first laid eyes on each other over jacuzzi bubbles on Love Island. Despite the doubters, it appeared the couple were going to be one of the dating show’s biggest success stories and went on to live happy ever after in their neutral-toned Cheshire mansion.

Well, that was until they weren’t.

Five years later, after announcing their engagement and birth of their daughter Bambi, Molly Mae sent shockwaves through the reality TV universe by announcing their break-up on social media.

“Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,” she wrote.

“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”

Battle lines were instantly drawn and in the following days, Tommy became public enemy number one amongst Molly Mae fans. Tabloids would also wade into the drama, sharing wild accusations that he’d cheated on the 25-year-old businesswoman and influencer.

Not one to go down without a fight – he is a boxer after all – Tommy has now addressed the accusations head on, revealing in an exclusive interview with the MailOnline that he did not cheat on his former fiancée.

“All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false,” he said, adding that he had ‘never’ been tempted by other women.

“I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, ‘I don’t love you any more’, clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people.

“Everybody could think what they want about me and say what they want about me. As long as my family think I’m a good man and Jesus Christ thinks I’m a good man, I don’t care what anybody else has to say.”

And if you’ve spent the past couple of months losing sleep over whether or not the couple will work things out, you can now rest easy as Tommy has made it clear that he wants to ‘fight’ for his family.

“I do think things will work themselves out,” he said, adding: “Do I love my family very much? Yes. Do I want me and my family to be back together?

“Yes, 100 per cent. I will always love my family.”

The influencer was ringside for partner Tommy Fury’s fight against KSI last weekend.

The Love Island star, 24, was in the crowd when her fiancé, 24, took on KSI, 30, at Manchester’s AO Arena last weekend (14 October).

On the night, the fight could have gone either way as Fury received a point reduction for a punch in the back of KSI’s head in round two.

With his unorthodox approach, the YouTuber did well in the opening rounds and looked to put Fury off his game.

In the third, however, the pro-boxer came back stronger and dominated the fourth.

Despite the points deduction, two judges ruled in favour of Fury with 57-56, while one scored the fight 57-57.

It was the brother of the Gypsy King who won by majority decision.

KSI was visibly upset after the result, calling it a ‘robbery’, and plans to appeal the outcome.

In attendance was Fury’s fiancée, who admitted she didn’t feel she was able to properly support her man.

Taking to her latest YouTube vlog, the mum-of-one said: “I don’t think I realised how much it was affecting my mood the run up to the fight.

“Honestly, the last couple of days I have literally been on cloud nine, like it feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders.

“I don’t think I realised how much the buildup to the fight and the anxiety – I just don’t think I realise how much it was affecting me – since he’s come home with the win we’ve had the most insane couple of days.

“I’ll be honest though, it’s probably the last time I will ever go to a fight – I say that – it won’t be because I will drag myself there like I did with this one!”

Molly-Mae reflected on the fight.

She added: “I more than anything slightly embarrassed myself as Tommy’s support system at the fight because honestly my head was on the ground the whole entire fight.

“I physically could not lift up my chin to look at the ring and watch the fight. I don’t know what happens to me in those situations.

“When I was younger I used to compete in competitive sports – I quit all of them – because I hate that like, that competition feeling, I hated that environment it used to give me anxiety. I didn’t like the feeling of being in competition with anyone.

“It’s just typical that my fiancé is a boxer and I’m now like plummeted with no choice back into that lifestyle.

“I wouldn’t change it for the world because I know it makes him so happy and I’ve been over this quite a few times now but it’s just quite hard.”

Tommy Fury addresses whether Molly-Mae will ever return ringside after she ‘let herself down’

Tommy Fury’s fiancée Molly-Mae Hague struggled to watch his fight

Tommy Fury has addressed his wife-to-be Molly-Mae Hague’s behaviour at his highly anticipated boxing match.

Former Love Island star and budding boxer Fury took to the ring on 14 October and went head-to-head (or fist-to-fist, should we say) with YouTuber KSI.

Fury proved victorious against his opponent, who later hailed his win as ‘robbery’.

Later doubling down on Fury’s win, the judge’s scorecards were reviewed and Fury won by an unanimous decision, rather than a judges’ majority.

Speaking to LADbible about his win, Fury said: “I’m very happy the judges corrected the scorecards because, at end of the day, doing all these star jumps and whatever – that doesn’t win you fights.

“So I’m happy that the judges saw that and they changed it.”

As well as the judges, Fury’s fiancée and fellow Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague was ringside at his fight – but the 24-year-old could barely watch.

She’s since made a video for her YouTube channel and said that she ’embarrassed’ herself at the match.

“I more than anything slightly embarrassed myself as Tommy’s support system at the fight because honestly my head was on the ground the whole entire fight,” Hague shared.

“I physically could not lift up my chin to look at the ring and watch the fight. I don’t know what happens to me in those situations.”

But, even though she struggles to watch Fury fight, the Manchester-born boxer said it’s still ‘amazing’ having her there.

“At the end of the day, having her there is amazing,” he told LADbible.

“But I also understand that there are some fights that she doesn’t want to come to because who wants to see their partner have a fight? It’s very nerve-wracking.”

Fury continued: “I’m in that zone and I don’t see anyone else outside of the ring when I’m fighting so, it is what it is.

“She knows how happy it makes me and that’s the reason why she tolerates it.

“We’ll see if she’s got the nerve to come again; I don’t know.”

Fury also addressed if his nine-month-old daughter Bambi, whom he shares with Hague, will ever come to his fights when she’s older.

The dad-of-one addressed if his daughter will ever watch his boxing matches.

“I don’t think Bambi will ever come to one of my fights,” the dad-of-one shared.

“I don’t really think it’s a place for a boxer’s own kids.

“Maybe when she’s a lot older and if I’m still boxing she can come and see what her dad does, but it’s not something I’m really concerned about at the minute.”

Fury was sponsored by flavoured water bottle brand air up for his big fight against KSI, and he thinks it’s just the beginning of a ‘long lasting relationship’ with the brand.

“It’s one of the best hydration partners you can get,” Fury said.

“Everyone’s going crazy for [the bottles] at the minute, so I’m just happy to be on board and part of the team.”

Gushing about Fury in return, air up co-founder, Lena Jüngst, labelled the 24-year-old as an ‘inspiration’.

Jüngst, said: “He works hard to achieve his goals and prioritises a healthy lifestyle in the process.

“Tommy is a devoted family man and dedicated athlete, on the path to forging his legacy – all attributes we stand for at air up.”
