Girlfriend of Brit influencer who died falling off 160ft bridge speaks out as she reveals tragic final text

Lewis Stevenson’s girlfriend, Savannah Parker, has shared how she has been coping since his passing

Daredevil and influencer Lewis Stevenson, 26, fell to his death on Sunday morning (13 October) when trying to scale the Castilla La Mancha bridge in Spain.

Plunging from the 630 ft (192m) bridge, the Brit was said to be making his way up Spain’s highest bridge without any assistance or safety equipment to take some photos and videos to post on social media.

Known as a ‘rooftopper’, Stevenson was warned by his family not to try the stunt, but as someone who ‘loved’ the hobby and completed several dangerous climbs in the past, he ‘always went out there believing he’d be alright’.

Some of his more impressive snaps were some taken atop a New York skyscraper, some while hanging off a structure in Croatia, and a few looking out at Central London from a metal beam.

Tributes have poured in for the late adrenaline junkie, as authorities in Spain also revealed that he was with a 24-year-old friend.

It was reported that the pair were a quarter of the way across the iconic bridge before he lost his grip and fell to his death.

Local Councillor Macareza Munoz said that accessing the bridge was ‘totally banned’ after the Brit’s body was recovered at 7.14am on Sunday.

A spokesperson for National Police in Toledo said: “He was about 40 to 50 metres up, around a quarter of the total height of the bridge, when he fell.”

The statement added that ‘the reason he fell is not clear and will be investigated by a local court’, with bad weather being investigated as a possible reason.

Stevenson’s girlfriend, Savannah, has now spoken out about her boyfriend’s tragic death, explaining how tough the last few days have been.

Savannah Parker posted online: “It’s 5am and I haven’t eaten or slept. Someone tell me this is a nightmare.

“I feel violently sick at the fact you’re not coming back. Please come back. Answer the phone.”

She had last spoken to her boyfriend only eight hours before he died, with the last message she sent him reading: “Good night, I love you.”

However, Parker thinks that her partner passed out while scaling the bridge, causing him to fall off.

“He didn’t just fall. He lost consciousness because he wasn’t feeling well,” she claimed.

“His friend who he was with sent me over his police statement.

“He told his friend he wasn’t feeling well and he said, ‘Shall we go back down?’

“Lewis said, ‘Give me a minute’, and that’s when he lost consciousness and slipped,” Parker explained.

She further added: “Every time he went away I would tell him to be careful, as much as it worries me, I don’t look into things because I worry enough as it is and I just let him do his thing and generally he just comes back.

“This weekend he didn’t. It is one thing to hear that he’s gone but it’s tragic how it happened,” she emotionally admitted.

One of the daredevil’s friends called the occurrence the ‘greatest sadness of my life’ in a tribute to the late Stevenson, while another thanked him after he ‘changed my perspective on life’.

Tributes have poured in for Lewis Stevenson, who fell 630ft to his death from the Castilla La Mancha bridge on Sunday morning (13 October).

Stevenson was reportedly trying to make his way up Spain’s highest bridge without safety equipment for a stunt video that would be posted on social media.

The Brit’s family were begging him not to attempt the dangerous climb but said he ‘loved’ doing the stunts and ‘always went out there believing he’d be alright’.

Stevenson, 26, was known for showing his more impressive climbs off on Instagram, including snaps while at the top of a New York skyscraper, one where he overlooked London on a metal beam and even one where he hung off a structure in Croatia.

Following his death, authorities in Spain revealed that he was with a 24-year-old friend.

It is said that the two were a quarter of the way across the 630ft (192m) bridge before he lost his grip and fell.

Macareza Munoz, a local councillor, clarified that accessing the bridge was ‘totally banned’ as Stevenson’s body was recovered at 7.14am on Sunday.

The Town Council of Talavera de la Reina said in a statement: “The Councillor for Citizen Security, Macarena Munoz, has confirmed the death of a young man after he fell from the Castilla-La Mancha bridge.

“He was a 26-year-old Englishman who fell while climbing the aforementioned bridge, something which the councillor has made clear is totally prohibited and that we have reiterated on numerous occasions cannot be done under any circumstances.

“According to what we have been able to establish they had come to Talavera to climb the bridge and create content for social media, which has resulted in this unfortunate and sad outcome.

“The judge and the forensic doctor have already authorised the removal of the body, which has been transferred to the funeral parlour,” it concluded.

Tributes from loved ones have started to come in, as grandfather Clifford Stevenson, from Derby, explained to MailOnline: “We all tried to talk him out of it. We were always trying to talk him out of doing things but that was the way he was.

“He loved doing it, always went out there believing he’d be alright. He did what he did for his own pleasure. He did not get any money for it, he was an adventurer,” the 70-year-old said.

Fellow ‘rooftopping’ enthusiast Louie_W1 took to social media to write about his friend, saying: “Knowing you has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

“And losing you is the greatest sadness of my life. No amount of words on a stupid Instagram post will ever describe how much I miss you.

“You will always be the bravest, most caring and funny person I’ve ever known. I’m proud of every building, every rooftop, every moment of our time together,

“My best friend, my brother. Rest easy, we’ll meet again one day,” he emotionally stated.

Another daredevil known as Vil1iany said: “In the past seven years you introduced me to a new understanding of freedom, which changed my perspective on life massively, giving me guidance on my own creative work always motivating me and inspiring me through your own creative consistency.

‘”I’m forever thankful for the opportunities you gave me and the people you introduced me too.

“You’ve been a prominent figure to me for awhile and your fearless mentality will stick with me for the rest of my life.

“It was a pleasure to be considered one of your friends, rest easy now brother, I’ll see you in another life.”

Nicola Bulley's final text before tragic death revealed during inquest

Nicola Bulley’s final text before tragic death revealed during inquest

The mother-of-two’s final words were revealed at her inquest last year

The Brit was last seen with her dog Willow along the River Wyre in Lancashire on 27 January 2023, and the media attention on her case put her in the eye of public interest.

Emergency authorities and police searched relentlessly for the missing mother-of-two until her body was tragically discovered weeks down the line.

It was deduced that she had accidentally fallen into the water and died.

It was a traumatising case for her family and loved ones in particular, who have recently shared how they really feel about her case in a new BBC documentary, which was released last night (3 October).

A number of conspiracy theories were thrown at the Bulley family as social media users made several baseless claims about her disappearance, which her partner Paul Ansell said was ’emotionally draining’ to speak about.

Dr. James Adeley, senior coroner for Lancashire, revealed that Nicola was ‘alive when entering the water’ during the inquest last year too, with the new documentary covering every last detail of the case – including a timeline of what happened before she went missing, as well as what her final words were.

The court heard from Home Office pathologist Alison Armour on the first day of the inquest, as Armour pieced together Nicola’s last day and focused on a text message exchange between her and her friend Lucy, as they were planning a playdate for their daughters.

The last text Nicola received and sent were recorded, as it was found that the night before her disappearance, she texted Lucy, who replied the next morning after seeing the text.

Responding at 8:13am, Lucy later said to the court: “I said my daughter would love to come and play.”

Then, at 8:59am, Nicola responded, confirming a time with a smiley face. The mums also had plans to meet the next day, as Lucy revealed: “We were going to be meeting up, a group of mums, on the Saturday night for a few drinks.”

Armour, who also conducted Nicola’s post-mortem, confirmed during the inquest last year that water was found in her lungs and the cause of death was drowning.

The coroner prompted Armour to summarise what she found, stating: “I conclude the cause of death as drowning. The lungs themselves showed classical features we see in drownings. In my opinion Nicola Bulley was alive when she entered the water.”

She also revealed that water in the lungs indicated an ‘active process’ called swallowing, which was a sign that Bulley was alive when entering the river, while noting that there were no diseases or brain bleeds detecte. There was also no traces of harmful medication detected, as well as a low level of alcohol.

‘Scared’ Brit trapped in Florida told to take drastic measures as Hurricane Milton hits

The content creator has exclusively revealed what she’s been told to do before the hurricane hits this evening

A ‘scared’ Brit that has been trapped in Florida with the impending landfall of Hurricane Milton expected this evening (9 October) has exclusively shared what precautions she has had to take for tonight.

Kathryn Bateman, better known as @scouseblu on social media, has been posting videos, updating followers on her experience in the Sunshine State as the category five storm roars her way.

Taking primarily to TikTok to reveal the desperation around her in Orlando, videos show just how desperate Americans and tourists were, stocking up on food items, water and toilet paper – flashbacks to the pandemic, anyone?

Bateman previously explained that she and her partner had to visit multiple stores in their search for water and things such as torches, of which there were only two left when she got to Home Depot, which she described as ‘absolutely manic’.

She noticed locals buying wood in bulk to protect their doors and windows before returning to their holiday home, where a letter from the hotel told them they were left to their own devices, as she summarised: “The hotel basically said keep the patio furniture inside, you’re self-catering, you’re on you’re own.”

While other hotels were giving guests free water and toilet paper, she said it was ‘shocking’ that her family were given next to no assistance.

But since these updates, she revealed to LADbible that she has been given some advice ahead of tonight.

Bateman, originally from Liverpool, went to Orlando for a holiday and hopes to ‘return safely’ on 15 October, after the cyclone is past.

She revealed: “In all honesty, we have been told from local officials to stock up on supplies, stay away from windows, and to not go outside during Wednesday and Thursday evening.”

Mentioning the letter from the hotel again, she said they were left ‘upset’ by their lack of help, though added that officials told them to have a ‘bag ready in case’ they need to ‘evacuate’ to a nearby shelter for protection.

“(We’ve) charged all our power banks in case the power cuts out and we have filled baths up,” she shared, also adding that her, alongside her partner and family, are checking daily updates for flights so that they can leave as soon as it is safe.

Bateman then admitted: “We feel scared, as we never have experienced this before. We tried to get flights home, but they said there was none available.

“The priority was families with small children, which we fully understand, they are a priority. Our vacation rep said we have to stock up and stay in.

“We all pray for everyone who will be effect severely by Milton.”

This week, the Foreign Office warned UK citizens across the pond to follow instructions and orders surrounding evacuation, as Milton has been described as ‘life-threatening,’ with high winds and a heavy rainfall forecast.

Airports in Tampa and Orlando have also temporarily ceased operations to and from the UK, leaving numerous holidaymakers stuck in the thick of it all, waiting for updates from airlines.

Friend of missing Brit Jay Slater says teen ‘cut his leg on a cactus’ as she reveals final phone call

The friend of missing British teenager Jay Slater has revealed more details of the pair’s final phone call before he disappeared, claiming he had cut his leg on a ‘cactus’.

Jay, 19, from Lancashire, has been missing in Tenerife since Monday morning after attending the New Rave Generation festival with friends on the island.

His friend Lucy Law was the last person to speak to the teen before his disappearance, revealing he phoned her at around 8.00am on 17 June to tell her he was ‘in the middle of nowhere’ and had only one percent battery left on his phone.

Lucy has now revealed further details from her final phone call with Jay, claiming he had cut his leg on a cactus.

Speaking to Sky News, Lucy – who had been attending the festival with Jay – said he rang her to say he ‘didn’t know where he was’, that he ‘needed a drink’ and had ‘cut his leg on a cactus’.

She claims he was also able to send her a photo of his location before the battery on his phone died.

Lucy went on to add that Jay is ‘not a stupid boy’ and would’ve tried to get in contact with his family if he’d been able to.

“If he’d seen somebody, or a car, he would have flagged down the car – he would have said he needed a phone to contact someone,” she said.

“If he saw someone, the first thing he would do is say ‘I need to ring my mum’ – I know that for a fact. He would never ever have his mum worrying like this.

“It’s just awful – I’ve never in my life been so worried.”

Searches have been ongoing in his last known location – National Park of Teno – which is a popular hiking spot on the north-west of the island. Authorities have also been searching in the areas of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas on the south coast, which is where the teen had been staying.

Lucy has since been able to track down the house Jay had visited that night, where she said the residents told her that Jay had decided to head home in the early hours of the morning after stepping out for a cigarette.

Jay has been reported to be wearing a grey t-shirt, black bag, shorts and trainers at the time of his disappearance.

Lucy also revealed her concerns about Jay being out in a mountainous area at night without ‘suitable clothing’, adding: “It’s very warm in the day and very cold at night.

“So in the day he’s going to be really warm without a drink, and then at night he’s going to be very cold without any suitable clothing.”

Meanwhile Jay’s mother has since revealed she believes her son has been taken against his will, telling PA: “I think he’s been taken against his will with what’s been said, but it’s in the hands of the police.”
