Diddy’s lawyer reveals the ‘roughest part’ of the rap mogul’s life in jail and it’s not what you’d expect

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested in New York last month

Diddy has been in police custody since September 16 and his lawyer has been sharing insights into the rapper’s time behind bars.

Diddy, real name Sean Combs, was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Manhattan last month and charged with racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion – allegations he has denied.

The 54-year-old has had his bail denied twice and could remain in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until next year as the judge set his trial for May 5, 2025.

Outside the courthouse on October 10, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, opened up about the ‘roughest part’ of the situation for the music producer right now.

He told reporters: “I think the food’s probably the roughest part of it.”

The New York Post previously reported that Comb’s first meal was behind bars was a choice of Swedish meatballs or a black bean burger, per MDC Brooklyn’s food menu. It’s said he also had the option of egg noodles, green beans and a garden salad with dressing as side dishes.

Following his arrest there has also been questions about Diddy’s mental state and rumors that the star was put on a suicide watchlist.

Agnifilo has since been interviewed in The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, a new TMZ documentary that touches on recent events involving the hip hop mogul.

During one clip, the lawyer spoke about Diddy’s state of mind, amid recent speculation.

He said: “His state of mind is actually remarkable positive. I spend several hours with him every day… His resolve is strong. He’s engaged.

“He’s focused on his defence… he [has] come to terms with the fact that this is where he is for now.”

Earlier this week Diddy’s mother, Janice Combs, released a statement through attorney Natlie G. Figgers.

Obtained by The Hollywood Reporter on October 6, she said: “My son is not the monster they have painted him to be, and he deserves the chance to tell his side.

“It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies.

“To bear witness [to] what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have his day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence.”

Wendy Williams says ‘it’s about time’ as she speaks out over Diddy allegations

Warning: This article contains discussion of sexual and domestic violence which some readers may find distressing.

Wendy Williams has broken her silence amid the Diddy allegations in a new interview.

Last week, more than 100 people came forward to accuse Diddy of sexual assault, filing lawsuits against him.

Some cases are said to date back as far as 1991, with one of the accusers claiming to have been nine years old when the alleged incident occurred.

Diddy – real name Sean Combs – was already arrested over sex trafficking, drug possession and firearms offences in September, with an indictment claiming he encouraged female victims into sexual performances with male sex workers which were dubbed ‘freak offs’.

The star is currently awaiting trial at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City.

Diddy ’emphatically and categorically’ denies all charges, his attorney Erica Wolff told UNILAD.

Williams has been outspoken in her criticisms of Combs over the years.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, The Wendy Williams Show host has now revealed ‘so many people’ told her she’d ‘called it’ after the rapper was arrested.

She also addressed the 2016 video of Diddy assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel lobby.

CCTV camera footage of the incident was released by CNN this May.

The video, dated as being from 5 March, 2016, shows Ventura and Combs at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles – which has since closed down.

The footage shows Ventura walking to some elevators and Combs running after her wearing only a towel wrapped round his waist.

The rapper can be seen grabbing Ventura by the neck and throwing her to the floor, before kicking her twice and dragging her by her sweatshirt towards one of the hotel’s rooms.

Combs then walks away, Ventura collecting her belongings up. However, the musician comes back and he can be seen throwing an object at Ventura before walking away again.

Williams said: “You know how I feel about that? It is about time. To see this video on TV of [Cassie] getting pummelled… it was just horrific.”

She continued: “But now you have to think, how many more times? How many people? How many more women? It’s just so horrible.”

Ventura filed a lawsuit in Federal District Court in Manhattan last year alleging Combs ‘frequently beat’ her during their on-off around 10-year relationship.

Ventura’s lawsuit claimed Combs was a ‘serial domestic abuser, who would regularly beat and kick Ms Ventura, leaving black eyes, bruises, and blood’.

Combs ‘vehemently denie[d]’ the allegations, his lawyer telling UNILAD at the time.

A day later, on November 17, Combs and Ventura announced they’d reached a settlement. The hotel lobby video surfaced some six months later.

Elton John lists all the organs he’s had removed revealing there’s ‘not much’ of him left

The iconic singer revealed that he has had a shocking number of parts removed from his body over the years

Elton John has joked that there is ‘not much’ of him left after revealing how many organs he has had removed over the years.

The iconic singer opened up about his health problems while giving a speech during the premier of a new documentary about him.

The film, entitled Elton John: Never Too Late, looks back at the 77-year-old singer’s 50-year-long career as he gets ready to give his final concert at Dodger Stadium.

Introducing the film, the star reflected on his own health, joking with the audience: “To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.”

In an allusion to the ‘Ship of Theseus’ trope, where the ship has so many parts replaced it’s no longer the original ship, he said: “I don’t have tonsils, adenoids or an appendix.

“I don’t have a prostate. I don’t have a right hip or a left knee or a right knee. In fact, the only thing left to me is my left hip.”

The singer continued: “But I’m still here. And I can’t thank you [enough], you’re the people that made me.”

John has had to deal with a lot of health problems over the years, including knee and hip replacement surgeries.

Last month, the star revealed that he was in recovery after suffering from a ‘severe eye infection’, which was bad enough to affect his vision.

Back in the 1990s, he also had a pacemaker fitted to help deal with an irregular heartbeat.

In 2009, John was hospitalised with a bacterial infection and influenza, before having an abscess found on his appendix in 2013 and a bout of ‘gastric flu’ in 2016.

There was also the impact years of touring had on John’s health.

Most notably this has included an impact on his hearing due to the sustained exposure to loud noise.

John recently announced that he would be retiring from touring, saying: “As you know, I decided to stop touring because I’m 77 years of age.

“I’ve done all there is to do, to play. I’ve succeeded. I’ve been there and I’ve done it.”

The new documentary Elton John: Never Too Late premiered internationally at the Toronto Film Festival.

It is set to begin streaming in the US on Disney+ from December 13.

A description of the film says: “With exclusive access to Elton onstage, behind the scenes and in the recording studio, this documentary tells Elton John’s story as it’s never been told before.”

Man building three-story home made of ’98% air’ reveals what it’s like

Man building three-story home made of ’98% air’ reveals what it’s like

A bizarre construction technique that claims to have economic and environmental benefits is aiding in building a man’s dream home.

A company claims to have the perfect solution to solving the cost and sustainability issues of building a home in the most bizarre way.

A man in Jonestown, Texas has taken a company up on their pledge to build a home without using wood, brick or insulation.

Strata International Group Inc. is the Phoenix-based company that claims to have a groundbreaking technique that would save homeowners money on energy and construction costs.

Aaron Rowsell, who is having the company build him his home, admitted he thought the process would draw looks from his neighbors.

However, he did say he first heard of homes being built with foam about 20 years ago and hopes it can help him build his dream home.

“I thought the neighbors might think I might be a little crazy when the truck load of foam showed up,” Rowsell said speaking to KXAN.

“You just shake your head at how they are putting a four foot by four foot beam that two or three guys are carrying whereas traditionally you would have a crane out here putting that thing into place.

“I’m excited for them to cut out this window and be able to take in this full view.”

The technology the company employs means that Rowsell’s entire home, minus the foundation, can be built using the foam material which are made up of 98 percent air.

Aaron Rowsel admitted he thought the process would draw looks from his neighbors.

Instead of using a saw, the company’s vice president, Amir Saebi, showed how they shape the material to get it how they want.

Using a kind of hot knife, the foam can be shaped how the builders want. Then when they want to connect pieces it uses a liquid foam to glue them together.

When all the foam is properly installed, the company adds its patented concrete solution on the exterior and interior of the home, acting as a hard shell for the foam.

Saebi also added that it is a great insulator and can be great for keeping costs down in labor and construction. He noted that 4 or 5 workers can construct the home rather than an entire team of builders.

The company’s website is also quite proud of the environmental benefits and has insisted their method addresses these environmental concerns.

What the finished home is supposed to look like.

“At Strata, we understand the importance of sustainability,” the website reads. “As climate change and deforestation threaten our planet, it is more important than ever to embrace new technologies and methods that will sustain humanity long into the future.”

“The SABS™ system uses no wood in the construction of our homes, and significantly decreases the amount of energy footprint on any build site.

“We developed this system to give people a safe, energy efficient, sustainable green home that the Earth can afford.”

Not quite sold myself, but hey, what do I know about home building?
Man who died and came back to life reveals what it was like in the ‘afterlife’

Man who died and came back to life reveals what it was like in the ‘afterlife’

David Hanzel was close to death when suffering with a severe lung infection and sepsis

A man who claims to have died and came back to life says he briefly visited the afterlife.

Dozens of people across the globe say they’ve seen the afterlife after almost dying, and it seems as if everyone has a different experience of ‘the other side’.

For example, UK resident Kevin Hill fell seriously ill in 2021 after contracting calciphylaxis. At one stage he was so sick that lost five pints of blood, which caused his heart to stop.

During this time, he claims to have become ‘separate from [his] body’ and was in some kind of ‘spirit realm’.

Meanwhile David Hanzel had a rather different experience when he briefly died in 2015.

At the time, Hanzel had developed a lung infection and sepsis. Surgery confirmed that 70 percent of his lung was covered in the infection and he ultimately ended up on his ‘deathbed’.

He ‘flatlined’ and ended up falling into a coma, which he remained in for two months.

During this period, Hanzel was supposedly greeted with ‘a beautiful afterlife’.

“I just remember closing my eyes because I was sick. And then when I opened my eyes back up, I was in this night sky,” he explained to the Daily Star.

“It was the most beautiful, velvety, silky night sky. No clouds. No stars. No nothing. And there wasn’t a beginning or end to it.”

Hanzel, who says he’s a psychic, went on to say that he was then greeted by two ‘beings’.

“All of a sudden one being was on my left and one on my right. They just felt comfortable. Like I knew them,” the North Carolina resident recalled.

“They showed me that it was the most beautiful, golden-white light. It was so pretty and there were all these angels and everything going up into it.”

But it wasn’t white pearly gates they took him to, but a bar. It had ‘beautiful coloured bottles on the side’ and no booze or other beverages.

After stopping off at the alcohol-free bar, Hanzel was told to walk up the side of a ‘big white building’.

He continued: “When you stepped, you didn’t feel like your foot touched the ground. Like there’s no gravity. It’s kind of like you’re floating and walking.”

When Hanzel eventually came round again, he claims that he was in full health once more.

He also ‘came back with total forgiveness’ for anyone who had ever done something bad to him.
